COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update April 06 2020

To our valued customers, employees, and partners,

As you know, the Provincial and Federal government continue to make changes in the Canadian market to support the goal of slowing down the spread of COVID-19.  On April 3rd the Ontario Government updated the list of essential services which are able to operate for the next four weeks, when another update is expected.  Based on this updated list of essential services, Zarcon Landscape will be adjusting our business to comply with the government while supporting the needs of our community, and to continue to put the health and safety of our customers, employees and partners at the forefront of our decisions.

Based on the new government guidelines, and the recommendations from Landscape Ontario (of which Zarcon Landscape is a member) we will be ceasing operations associated with construction, enhancement and beautification projects at this time.  We anticipate in the coming days clarification as to impact on basic lawn care services, specifically lawn cutting will be provided.  We have adjusted our policies to ensure that if in future we are to visit a customer we will not be in contact with our customers, and our team members have COVID specific operation procedures and protocol to follow. As we shared in our update a week ago, our office teams are still available to support you with any questions you have, and with discussing any potential designs you are interested in.  Our delivery time for designs will be delayed as we are unable to have onsite meetings with our customers or site visits for measurements, but we are confident we can adjust to these new guidelines and still provide you with the quality you have come to expect from the Zarcon Landscape team.

We know that there will likely be those individuals and companies who do not adhere to the government direction or Landscape Ontario’s stance by misunderstanding or justifying that their services are essential to meeting one’s basic needs. As a company we’re trying to do the right thing for our entire community, province and country.  Please keep that in mind when looking for a service provider. We understand it may be frustrating that you cannot have improvements made that enhance aesthetics or the functionality of your landscape but we need to keep the health of our suppliers, team and community in mind including health care workers. We ask that you consider postponing these types of landscape projects to a time when it’s safe for all rather than finding someone who is operating outside what the government and industry leading organizations deem as essential.

We continue to communicate these changes first to our team and our customers, but if you have any questions at any time please feel free to reach out to us.  As changes occur we will do our best to share updates on our business with you as quickly as we can do so.  At Zarcon Landscape family is everything to us, and we hope that you understand that these are difficult decisions for us to make, but allows us to ensure we are caring for our family – which in our world includes our customers, employees and partners.  We hope that you are keeping safe and healthy and look forward to reconnecting with everyone and celebrating your outdoor spaces with you as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.  We sincerely appreciate, again, your patience and understanding as we navigate these difficult times.
